Commercial Construction Laborer

Warriors 2 Workforce is hiring motivated construction laborers for commercial jobsites with current demand primarily in Frankfort, Kentucky. Military veterans are especially encouraged to apply. Support site preparation, concrete work, material handling and demolition as part of a hardworking construction team.

OSHA 30 is required before your start date; we will provide training if you do not already have it. We recruit through the Lexington and Louisville markets. Current demand is primarily in Frankfort; assigned jobsites may change and will be confirmed before you start.

What you'll do
- General and final cleanup; distribute and clean up power hand tools, extension cords and generators.
- Set up water pumps and hoses for dewatering.
- Move formwork, lumber, reinforcing steel, materials and accessories by hand.
- Perform hand excavation and backfill; hand grade sub-base.
- Place vapor barrier and board insulation; place and tie reinforcing steel.
- Place concrete from trucks, pumps, buckets, buggies or conveyors.
- Rake, screed, edge, broom finish and vibrate concrete; place concrete blankets.
- Strip, clean and oil formwork.
- Perform general and selective demolition of masonry, drywall, plaster, partitions, ceilings and finishes.
- Use demolition tools including jackhammers, air tools and sledgehammers; use cutoff saws and cutting torches as directed.
- Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- OSHA 30 before the start date; training provided if needed.
- Construction experience preferred; one year of commercial construction experience preferred.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work within a 50-mile radius.
- Ability to work in seasonal weather conditions and a physically demanding environment.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully, communicate well and collaborate with a positive attitude.
