Outreach & events

The mission starts
with showing up.

Real conversations with service members. Relationships with the contractors building the next project. W2W connects those worlds, one introduction at a time.

Military career outreach

What comes after service?

Chad has spoken with Indiana National Guard members about careers in construction, telecom and the skilled trades. The conversation starts with their experience and interests, then explores opportunities, apprenticeships and the qualifications needed for a civilian role.

Industry relationships / ABC

Meet the people
building the projects.

W2W participates in Associated Builders and Contractors Indiana/Kentucky events and the construction community, connecting with contractors and workforce development partners.

At golf outings and industry gatherings, we share the veteran workforce mission, listen to hiring needs and start conversations about building lasting teams.

A transition worth sharing

From Navy mechanic
to pipe welding.

One veteran's path illustrates the mission.

In a story shared by W2W, a Navy diesel mechanic with five years of service wanted to keep working with his hands. Through Warriors 2 Workforce by S&C, he found a path into pipe welding.

The lesson is practical: start with the experience, understand the person's goals, and help identify the next step. Each transition has its own training, testing and employer requirements.
