The career path wasn't.
During his Navy service, Chad worked in navigation and performed preventative maintenance high on his ship's mast. He understood charts, courses, weather and work at heights. After leaving the military, he struggled to see how that experience translated into a civilian career.
Chad served in the U.S. Navy from 2004 to 2008, based in San Diego. Three deployments took him on counter-narcotics missions near South America and Panama and through the Pacific, including Indonesia, the Marshall Islands and Hong Kong.
He later built a career in construction staffing and started his business in 2018. Learning about the telecom and cell tower industry brought a realization: the hands-on skills and comfort at heights he had developed in the Navy could have pointed him toward a career he would have loved. He simply hadn't known the path existed.
